WoW: It's not the rogues, it's the gear flaws.

WoW: It's not the rogues, it's the gear flaws.

Try getting a rog/pri up and running or even researching on rogue strategies, builds, et cetera in between practicing.

Almost every high end rogue has half a T6 set. You can easily destroy any opposing S2/3 mix rogue.

That is, unless the rogue has equal skills and can get the jump on you.

If you are a T6 rogue especially, itemization won't help because almost any raid guild can dance it's way into the BT.

Even with a 411 resil you will get destroyed by the Glaive rogues. Even a pair of double T6 bonus set rogues can easily find a way to get ion cause a lot of damage to your rogue.

And even though they can destroy my rogue, I really love that the T6 bonus for rogues is insanely powerful and that the gear stats are just as insanely powerful. Case in point, a T6 gear is so far above any S3 gear in power, that if a rogue gets to choose, he's of course going to go with the T6 gear. Why go for the S3 when you can get something more powerful in a T6?

But the real problem lies with Blizz itemization. Blizz want handouts. Why would they need handouts???? I think it's because of the PvE's being largely ignored.

Being left out of PvP to some extent, pretty much every class benefits from a mixture of PvP and high end PvE gear.

But (yes there is a but)...but, the gear shines more with the rogues. As you know, since S1, the Raiders have always held the advantage.

What about the Paladins??? They also need PvE gear!

In fact, based on class and itemization flaws alone, Paladins need PvE gear more than any other class.

Most people say that the rogues are so OP they can use PvE gear over PvP gear and suffer no consequences as a result just based on their class. This just flies in the face of any logic.

If you look carefully, the damage output against survivability loss is so, so great that it can actually offset the entire game. Even forcing an opposing healer to tunnel vision themselves into healing a damaged partner. Which doesn't help at all and if that's not enough, they can even opt to burst traditionally squishy classes down far faster than any other full S3 rogue!!

Do you remember the Vanilla and early BC? Back then, the rogue was a squishy-free kill.

As a rogue, you actually got the extremely essential skill of survivability. It was just enough to compete as well as the Arena gear that was able to keep great damage a whole lot lower than the rogue PvE counterparts (in most classes anyway).

If you ever fight a full S3 rogue and then a T6/S3 rogue you'll immediately feel the difference in gear.

My WoW Wish List

My WOW Wish List

Christmas is still far away. But in case Santa is listening, I wanted to compile a few new things (and some old ones) that I would like to see in WoW.

- Make group leveling stronger and faster. Leveling together as a group is a pain.

- Bring the elites back down to low level leveling.

- Introduce a better way to bring back world pvp.

- Ability to rate the lower level arenas without gear.

- I would like to see a heroic mode for lower level instances as well as improved loot for everything.

- Bring back less resilience or remove it altogether.

- Unique and original pvp gear.

- Ability to stop leaving the old content behind us.

- Make it a quest where the tier items would work as currency for the quest.

- Make items harder to get.

- Put public notice-boards in every town.

- A battleground with heavy PvE emphasis.

- Bring back skeletal gryphon. There's skeletal gryphon in Karazhan, but nothing for the Undead.

- Give players the ability to be vendors.

- Give players the ability to choose their own animations.

- Make it easy to compete and cooperate when raiding between the hordies and allies.

- The ability to have the chance to draw on your enemies without being surprised all of a sudden.

Would you agree? What would you like to see?

Anarchy Online & Aimed Shot: Should It Have Any Defense?

Anarchy Online & Aimed Shot: Should It Have Any Defense?

Over the years, pretty much everything in Anarchy Online has been allocated a defense check. Case in point, BURST.

But in PVP, Aimed Shot doesn't have any. Why is that?

First of all, what is the logic behind other profs being able to cap Aimed Shot with ease and then most won't cap recharge?

Seems to me that Aimed Shot is required by some to increase their damage output because of their lack of alpha.

But there really is no choice for folks other than to use Aimed Shot, especially when you know Aimed Shot is GUARANTEED to land and that sometimes it will cap.

Also, I think Aimed Shot was formed exclusively to destroy some of the profs.

As a player, I can also lessen the gravity of Aimed Shot using crit decrease or shields and even reflects.

Fixers and Ranged Advies utilize the ancient RK weapons with less and minimal damage. Crit definitely lessens damage to the Aimed Shot and remember, it's very easy to acquire more crit at TL4+.

Another argument would be Aimed shot pretty much hits for maximum damage. This is helpful since it is then dramatically increased based on your Aimed shot skills.

Fixers and Advies are pretty screwed owing to their Aimed Shot weapons having poor maximum damage and a big crit modifier.

This might explain why their Aimed Shot relies heavily on the crit and has absolutely nothing to do with the minimal damage on the weapon.

However, Docs do get to use single wield Aimed Shot weapons with pretty good maximum damage.

But the Aimed Shot never misses. AC's on the other hand, do nothing against it and as a result, Aimed Shot takes the maximum damage of the weapon being utilized.

The Aimed Shot damage is then increased based on your skills. And the Agents get those big crit buffs because the Aimed Shot can crit.

For example, the maximum damage on the Onehander is nothing when you compare to it's crit damage.

The damage from the onehander:

Damage 1-121 (584) - Projectile AC

Extremely poor maximum damage but good crit.

When compared to the weapon many Agents use at TL7:

Damage 275-550 (275) - Poison AC

Now that's good max damage but just okay crit.

An agent has very good Aimed Shot skill. They also have decent maximum damage on the weapon so an agent can generally cap ALMOST anybody.

As someone who uses the Aimed Shot on a soli keeper to defend myself against the unperkables, I would love to have at least some kind of defense check for the Aimed Shot. Nothing too big, just enough to give it some chance to miss.

World of Warcraft (WoW) - Learning The Language!

Greetings World of Warcraft players!

I have a confession. I am new to the World of Warcraft. In fact, I have not even joined the game - yet.

My friend, who started this blog, thought it would be a good idea to come on here and blog about my quest into the World of Warcraft! He also suggested that I simply join WoW right away...he said that's the best way to learn. But before I jump in and join the WoW, I have been doing some research. I don't know if it will help - maybe not.

Man, all the terminology is like an entire new language to me. I didn't even know what MMORPG meant!

And the choices?!?! I don't know what race I should choose: Dwarves, Gnomes, Humans, Night Elves, Draenei, Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, Undead, or Blood Elves.

Personally, as nocturnal as I am, the Night Elves sound the coolest.

But maybe the coolest sounding race isn't the best race. Or is it? I doubt it. Any suggestions?

And then of course there are nine classes!! Which one should I choose?!?! Any suggestions?

Maybe my friend is right. Maybe I should just join and wing it.

Oh...and then after I have chosen my race and class and quest...there is of course the question of WoW Gold!

My friend says he always buys WoW Gold through VCSale.com. He says VCSale offers the cheapest WoW Gold on the internet and that they offer fast delivery. I don't doubt him. I will probably end up buying WoW Gold, but one step at a time!

Let me select my race and class and quest and server and....

Man! Maybe he's right...Maybe I should just jump right in and start playing! I will be keeping everyone posted!

Until next time...may your quests be glorious and your battles be victorious!

3Wines, out.

The Easter Bunny Comes to Final Fantasy XI, Sorta...

What's this? The Easter Bunny is visiting Final Fantasy XI?

Well, not quite, but Square Enix has recently announced the details for its Final Fantasy XI MMORPG's Egg Hunt, set to take place in March.

This year's celebration will have adventurers from the world's three nations collecting "initial eggs", to be distributed by festival moogles. Each of these eggs carry a letter, which when combined with letters from other eggs, will spell out words and combinations.

Having completed that task will win players a prize. Note that players can also opt to trade these eggs with fellow players, and festival moogles from the nations, in case they are missing a few crucial letters.

The Egg Hunt festival will be taking place from March 13 to March 24.

We're hoping to get more details soon, so check back often.

And every Final Fantasy XI player needs a little gil. Swing by VCSale.com and find the Internet's best values on gil for th enext time you play.

Cool! Lich King Will Feature Area Dedicated to PvP

Word out of Blizzard is that the upcoming World of Wacraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, will feature a large area dedicated to PvP.

A "cool part of Northrend is new big PvP zone. It's about the size of Westfall, and will be all PvP, in no way, shape or form will we support PvE players in it", Jeff Kaplan of Blizzard has stated.

He continued, "It'll be optional, but it'll be completely non-instanced, have multiple objectives, siege weapons and destructible buildings".

Kaplan also noted that WoW adventurers will have their socks blown off when they first enter the new continent of Northrend.

"We absolutely need to make the entry to Northrend epic", he said. "[W]e originally had the entry to Burning Crusade's Dark Portal as a bunch of cohorts waling around, and people reacted badly. This really hammered home the fact that we needed to raise expectations on entering the expansions".

Every new tid bit about the Lich King makes it even harder to wait for its release. Thankfully, it looks like it will definitely be launched sometime this year. Waiting until 2009 would be an absolute killer for many WoW gamers.

And if you're a WoW gamer in search of gold, look no further than VCSale.com, where you'll find the best values in WoW gold on the Internet.
